BatteryBox

Safely Charge Your E-Bike Battery with the BatteryBox - The Ultimate Solution for Lithium-ion Batteries

The BatteryBox is the solution for safely charging and storing lithium-ion batteries. Specially designed to minimise fire risks and reduce damage in the event of a battery fire, this innovative charging box offers maximum safety and convenience. Ideal for use in bicycle sheds, businesses and homes where e-bike batteries need to be charged safely.

Fully Fire-resistant and Patented Design

The BatteryBox's unique cylindrical design is patented and fully fire-resistant. The BatteryBox can withstand explosive pressures and temperatures of up to 1,200°C that occur in a battery fire. Thanks to its innovative design, the fire remains completely under control, significantly increasing safety. Moreover, the BatteryBox offers unlimited fire resistance, regardless of the duration of the fire.

Optimal storage capacity and separate battery storage

The BatteryBox has a maximum capacity of 2,000 Wh, which can accommodate, for example, two 1,000 Wh batteries or four 500 Wh batteries. Thanks to the separate storage of batteries and chargers, the temperature is regulated, which not only extends battery life, but also minimises the risk of overheating and ignition.

This separated design prevents chain reactions in a battery fire, which can prevent life-threatening situations due to explosive pressure and toxic fumes.

Safe smoke removal

The BatteryBox can be equipped with a safe smoke outlet, which removes toxic fumes and flying particles to the outside. For locations where a smoke outlet is not possible, Lo Minck Mobility offers advice on alternative solutions to suit your situation.

Modular Extension

The modular design of the BatteryBox makes it easy to expand the charging capacity. The system allows you to stack up to four modules on top of each other, making efficient use of the available space. For added convenience, an underframe can be added, allowing easier access to the lower modules.

User-friendly functionality

The BatteryBox is designed with the user in mind. The system warns with light and sound signals if the door is not closed correctly, contributing to extra safety during use.

Certified Security

The BatteryBox has been extensively tested with defective batteries and certified by renowned institutes such as KIWA and MPA Dresden. It meets the strictest safety requirements of insurers and is suitable for 24/7 insured charging, making it ideal for both private and professional applications.

Why choose the BatteryBox?

Underframe - Improved Accessibility and Stability

For safe and efficient installation, the BatteryBox should be placed on a stable, preferably level surface. To increase the accessibility of the lower charging compartments, the BatteryBox can optionally be placed on a robust lower frame with a height of 15 cm.

This underframe not only increases ease of use, but also contributes to an ergonomic working height. In addition, we recommend stacking a maximum of 4 modules on top of each other to ensure stability and safety. The underframe thus offers a practical solution for optimal use of the BatteryBox.

Smoke extraction - essential safety with the BatteryBox

According to VDMA guidelines, it is essential that a battery charging cabinet is equipped with a smoke outlet that discharges into the outside air. For safe and effective smoke removal, it is very important that suitable materials are used and that the installation is carried out correctly. This minimises the risk of accumulation of toxic fumes and ensures a safe environment.

When a direct smoke exhaust to the outside air is not possible, the smoke exhaust can be fitted with a smoke detector that is optionally linked to an alarm system. Although this solution does not fully comply with VDMA guidelines, the BatteryBox still provides a high level of safety. Its unique design limits the consequences of a battery fire to smoke damage, preventing more serious damage and dangerous situations.
