Home " Bicycle gutter
Lo Minck Mobility's bicycle gutter is a robust stainless steel u-profile (RVS304) that can be used for both upward and downward bicycle transport. The bicycle is given its own track along the stairs, so it is guided up or down in a controlled way. The cyclist provides the power himself; the stainless steel bicycle rail provides the correct guidance along the stairs or slope.
When, in addition to conduction, active support is desired (e.g. for steep bike steps or heavy e-bikes), please refer to our VeloComfort® bicycle transport system.
The bicycle gutter is based on high-quality stainless steel (RVS304) and has a robust design (thickness: 3 mm), ensuring a long life span. The bicycle gutter is mounted to the stairs with specially developed stainless steel mounting plates, which are folded around the step noses. Installation is a piece of cake with these mounting plates, see assembly instructions. The bottom surface of the bicycle gutter is provided with anti-slip, so that the bicycle has more grip, and is less likely to slip sideways if the gutter is slippery, e.g. due to rain or snow.
The stainless steel bicycle gutter is available in different widths to suit multiple vehicle types: Lo Minck Mobility
100 mm - bicycle holder for normal and city bikes
150 mm - bike tray for e-scooters and wider tyres
200 mm - bicycle trough for motorbikes and heavier two-wheelers
This allows you to serve different target groups with one system: residents, visitors, commuters or customers.
Material: stainless steel304
Material thickness: 3mm
Height of raised edges (U-profile) 25 mm
Anti-slip on bottom surface
Applicable on all stairs/slopes, irrespective of gradient

In practice, many bicycle steps are quite steep. Depending on the available space at the bottom of the stairs, the angle of inclination of the bike chute can be flattened, so that the bike rolls in or out more quietly.
Lo Minck Mobility has special height-adjustable holders developed. Available for indoor and outdoor use, these provide a stable, level transition between stairs and ground level. Flattening is usually limited to a few degrees, to prevent the bicycle from being too far away from the user.

With very narrow stairs, there is often no permanent space for a fixed bicycle gutter. The folding stainless steel bicycle gutter then offers a smart solution.
With a clamping system the gutter is securely attached to the stairs.
The gutter can be easily folded and unfolded.
When folded up, the stairs remain optimally usable for pedestrians.
When used with a bicycle, the gutter is temporarily unfolded and folded back after use.
The maximum length per folding chute module is 2.98 metres; for longer stairs, several modules can be placed one after the other. Both the folding chute and the clamping system are entirely made of stainless steel.
