VelowSpace® is a high-quality, fully-automatic bicycle carousel, in which a maximum of 24 bicycles can be stored compactly and space-savingly on a surface of 5.5m x 5.5m x 1.8m (LxWxH). VelowSpace® offers a secure parking space, which is accessible 24/7 and can only be used by registered users (e.g. public transport pass, bank card, QR code, etc.). The base of VelowSpace® consists of a robust steel and galvanised frame, fitted with 3mm thick (artpunch) panels and an offshore-quality powder coating. Optionally, VelowSpace® can be fitted with a sedum roof.
The bikes are stored with the front wheel towards the centre, with the front wheel clamped in a smart, front wheel-friendly way in a front wheel clamp system developed by Lo Minck Mobility. The specially designed bike chute ensures that the bike is properly positioned in the carousel at all times.

For rental bikes, the user registers with a card or code and indicates via the user panel that he or she wishes to rent a bike. After checking, VelowSpace® opens the door for the user to take out the rental bike. Upon return, registration is requested again, where the user can indicate whether the bike is in good condition. If a defect is reported, the system locks the bike until it is repaired. For own bikes, the process is similar, with the difference that users always receive and store their own bike.
